There was a huge increase in the average sale price and the dollar per square foot in the Heavenly Valley neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe from the 1st quarter of 2020 to the first quarter of 2021. While we saw a decrease in values during 2019 (likely due to Measure T and the inability to obtain a vacation rental permit) we saw the opposite happen after Covid-19 hit and more people started moving away from the cities and into Lake Tahoe areas. The inventory of homes on the market also took a dramatic drop this year since the demand has become so high.
